Energized by Grace
Christ's church as a mission that Paul summarized as pleasing God
(1 Thessalonians 4:1). This mission is accomplished by the proclamation of a message Paul summarized as the gospel of grace (Acts 20:24). Finally a method is spelled out in Titus 2:11-14 - believers are energized by God's grace to live in a way that is otherwise impossible.
Christ’s church may be described as a group of people energized by grace to do the impossible for the glory of God. The mission of sending ordinary people to reach every person in the world seems impossible. The message of grace - that God did everything possible to be done and anyone can come to Him merely by faith seems impossible. And that everything would be through the method of people being energized by the Spirit of God seems impossible. Teachers Needed
There is an urgent need for teachers at Gjerasim D. Qiriazi School (GDQ School), the school our daughter Mariah attends. Currently, there is a need for a person to teach kindergarten for the school year 2008-2009. Also, there are needs for an ESL teacher for 2008-2009, and an art teacher starting in January 2009. Christian Youth In Action
Pray for Austin and Chloe Canfield, Christian Dudley, Simmone Sills, Moriah Lawson (Strickland), and Kaitlyn McKee as they teach Five Day Clubs in the Tulsa area this summer. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide the summer missionaries and bring all things that they have learned during training to remembrance just at His timing. Pray that God would prepare the hearts of the children that will hear His message of love and salvation and that the CYIA youth would be bold in sharing the Gospel. There are usually 15 CEF/CYIA summer missionaries and staff that meet at Memorial
Bible Church each day and they will need to have lunch provided. If you would like to host a 5-Day Club or are able to bring over lunch one or more days, please contact Dayla Koehn.

The elders invite you to come for a time of prayer in the Sanctuary each Wednesday evening this summer. We will have a short devotional brought by one of our elders or pastors at 7:00 p.m., and spend the remaining time praying for our church. Nursery will be provided from 7:00-8:00 pm. Prayer guides are available at the Welcome Center.

The Chaplain at Dick Conner Correctional Center has requested that our prison ministry team again help obtain donations of used (or new) men’s shirts and pants, any size, in good condition, for giving to inmates upon their discharge. Both casual and dress shirts/pants are needed. Please leave items in the plastic bin marked Prison Ministry at the north end of the hall on the west side of the Gym. You have been very generous in the past when needs have been made known! THANKS, TBC!

Missions Life Line Sunday
1. The Lifeline Ministry serves as the primary point of contact for TBC missionaries. Each missionary whom TBC supports has Lifeline couples assigned to maintain contact throughout the year.
2. Lifeline equips saints at TBC to encourage and minister, through regular communication and prayer, to the over forty missionary families supported by TBC. This ministry is a great way to involve an expose individuals and families to the missions field. Please consider and pray about “holding the ropes” for a TBC missionary and becoming a partner in the ministry in which they are serving.
