The men of Tulsa Bible Church are committed to living our church’s motto of “Pleasing God and making disciples” through our relationships to each other. The “Brothers Bound” are committed to encouraging and challenging one anther by growing deeper in the knowledge of His Word and living a life pleasing and honoring to Him. We seek an atmosphere where men can find real and honest support through prayer and counsel. We look for continued opportunities to have true fellowship whether in Bible studies, brunches, retreats, or personal relationships.
BIBLE STUDY The men are doing a study titled Messages for Men: A Study of Mathew 5-7. These chapters deal with many practical issues that men deal with like anger, lust, integrity, bitterness, anxiety, and contentment. The study will feature both an inductive component and application questions.
This year we will have several breakfast studies meeting at different locations around town. These smaller groups will help facilitate closer relationships, more accountability, and open discussions. Three groups meet on Thursday at 6:15 am. One is at the 71st and Garnett Panera Bread, one is at the Broken Arrow IHOP across from Lowe’s, and another is at the church. A Friday group meets at the Claremore Braum’s off Highway 66 by Lowe’s. Contact Pastor Martin if the downtown area would be best for you. For more information contact Pastor Martin. FELLOWSHIP We have regular church wide men’s activities to encourage men to band together as friends and brothers in Christ. This year’s men’s retreat will focus on our walk and witness at work. What are the distinguishing characteristics of the Christian worker and business owner? When should we initiate sharing the Gospel with our co-workers? We will also discuss and practice strategies for sharing the reason for the hope that is within us with our co-workers. There will be uplifting worship, connecting and praying with other men, and strategic instruction from God’s Word. Join us as we sharpen our walk and witness at work.
TITUS 2 RELATIONSHIPS Each man at TBC is encouraged to meet regularly with another man to encourage each other in their walk with the Lord. Whether it is seasoned believers discipling younger men, older men mentoring younger in how to live life, or relationships that are based on encouragement and accountability, we need the support of our brothers in Christ.
