Women of the Word
Women of the Word will be studying God’s Mysterious Ways: Embracing God’s Providence in Esther by Jane Roach. Come and grow together on Tuesday mornings (9:30-11:30) or evenings (7:00-8:30). We will begin on January 9th and end on March 13th. The morning study offers nursery care, Kids Day and student proctoring. Books can be ordered from Grace and Truth Books in Sand Springs or online from Amazon. If you have questions, you may contact Cathy Dunn.
SUMMARY: In this study of Esther, the author “walks us through the compelling narrative” and helps us learn about God’s providential activity in Esther’s life and then see it more clearly in our own lives. As we see his hand and work in our daily lives, we will be more willing to lean on him and have thankful hearts and joy in what he is doing.
Another wonderful option is the Valuable Pearl on Thursdays (12:30-2:30). We will be studying The Lamb of God: Seeing Jesus in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy, a DVD series by Nancy Guthrie. Dates are January 11th – March 15th. You may purchase your study book online through Amazon. For questions, contact Kay Blythe.
SUMMARY: Jesus’ declaration that Moses wrote of him frames this study of four books of the Pentateuch: Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. We will discover the many ways that Moses spoke about Christ, the Lamb of God, gain a fresh perspective on the story of Israel’s deliverance and journey, a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of Scripture, and much more!
