"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you,

and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

In 1956, shortly after Tulsa Bible Church was founded, we sent out our first missionaries, Bill and Maxine Eddy.  The Eddys served in Peru and Ecuador for close to forty years, Bill as a jungle pilot and airplane mechanic and Maxine as a nurse, helping Wycliffe Bible Translators complete ten translations of God’s word.  Supporting this faithful couple was just the start.

In addition to encouraging personal evangelism and discipleship, TBC maintains a vision of worldwide missions because our Lord told us to “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation” (Mark 16:15).  We now support financially and through our prayers forty-two local and foreign missionaries, twenty-nine of whom are active, and thirteen of whom are retired.  Many of these grew up at TBC, served at TBC, and were sent out directly from TBC.  We also support twelve ministries, two of which are international and ten of which are local.

You can find out more about TBC missions and missionaries by reading the missionary and ministry profiles in the TBC Weekly email, by participating in our quarterly missions prayer night, and by attending our yearly missions conference.
